Mundanije su jedino veće naselje na otoku koje nije smješteno uz samo more. U bogatoj i plodnoj dolini stanovnici uzgajaju povrće i voće i to na tradicionalan način, a zeleni proizvodi na gradskoj tržnici uglavnom potječu iz ovog mjesta. U mnogim segmentima života otočana još uvijek se može bez industrijskih proizvoda. Poklonici prirodne i zdrave hrane odsjest će upravo u Mundanijama ne odričući se more koje je svugdje na otoku blizu.
Mundanije is the only relatively large sized settlement on the island that is not located right by sea.
